In Japan
I captured the essence of traditional architecture and natural beauty. From the majestic Himeji Castle to the serene Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), each photograph reflects the harmonious balance between man-made structures and nature. I was particularly drawn to the geometric details, like the triangular window, and the seasonal changes captured in the red maple leaves against temple walls. The bamboo forest and carefully maintained pine trees demonstrate the Japanese mastery of landscape design that I encountered throughout my journey.
Aurora
During a magical night in Syracuse, I witnessed and photographed the breathtaking aurora borealis dancing across the sky. The sequence of images captures the dynamic nature of this phenomenon - from subtle green whispers to dramatic displays of pink and green lights reflecting off the lake. Each shot reveals a different mood as the colors shifted and swirled above the quiet lakeside landscape. It was a profound experience capturing these ethereal lights, and I'm particularly proud of how the photographs convey both the scale and the delicate beauty of the aurora.
